Update from the 2025 AGM and Board election
MDA National Members have elected a new director to its Mutual Board, following an election for two directorships, with results announced at the Annual General Meeting held in Perth on 28 November 2025.The Members elected and re-elected to the MDA National Mutual Board are:
- Dr Lindsey Jones – new to the Mutual Board.
- Dr Christine Pascott – re-elected to the Mutual Board.
Queensland Member and first-time MDA National director, Dr Lindsey Jones joins the Mutual Board replacing Dr Andrew Wesseldine, who has served as a director for six years.
Dr Jones was elected to the Mutual Board in November 2025. Dr Jones is a fellowed specialist GP actively working in the community across both community and tertiary settings in South East QLD. She is a sitting member for the The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Expert Committee - Funding and Health System Reform and for the RACGP Working Group - Regulation and Compliance and is also the Clinical Editor for PHN Darling Downs and West Moreton HealthPathways, providing medicolegal reports including provision of expert medical opinions in cases of medical malpractice cases. Dr Jones is currently undertaking the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration with Melbourne Business School.
Dr Wesseldine will continue his involvement with MDA National as a member of the Clinical Underwriting Committee. Dr Christine Pascott, a Board member since 2016, has been re-elected for another three-year term. MDA National thanks Dr Wesseldine for the extensive work done for our Members.
