Make a Difference Terms and Conditions

  1. Information on how to enter this prize draw forms part of these terms and conditions of entry. Entry into this competition is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions set out below ("Terms and Conditions").
  2. The prize draw is being run by MDA National Insurance Pty Ltd ABN 56 058 271 417 AFS Licence Number 238073 ('MDA National Insurance') of Level 3, 88 Colin Street, West Perth WA 6005, Australia, phone 1800 011 255. MDA National Insurance is a wholly owned subsidiary of MDA National Limited ABN 67 055 801 771 (together MDA National).
  3. Entry is open to Australian medical students who:
    • are MDA National Members; or
    • have applied for Membership with MDA National, and
    • have commented on a designated MDA National social media post with the name of their nominated charitable organisation.
  4. Eligible Entrants may only enter the competition once per social platform.
  5. Nominated charitable organisations must be recognised by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) in order to be eligible.
  6. The competition commences at 9:00 am (AEDT) on Friday 22 March 2024 and ends at 11:59 pm (AEST) on Wednesday 1 May 2024.
  7. The prize consists of 1 Visa gift card valued at $1000 for the Eligible Entrant and a $1,000 donation to the Eligible Entrant’s nominated charitable organisation.
  8. The prize will be drawn at 9:30am (AEST) on Thursday 2 May 2024 at MDA National’s Sydney Office, Level 5, 69 Christie Street, St Leonards NSW 2065.
  9. The result is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. The winners will be contacted by email within five (5) days of the draw date to arrange delivery of their prize. The winner(s) may also be published on social media.
  10. The winner(s) will be given 3 months to claim their prize. If in this time the prize is not claimed then a redraw will take place at Level 5, 69 Christie Street, St Leonards NSW 2065 at 15:00PM (AEST) on Friday 26 July 2024 with the winner notified in writing and published on social media.
  11. The prize will be deemed unclaimed if MDA National’s reasonable attempts to contact the winner via email and telephone during normal work hours of Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm (AEST) are unsuccessful. Redraws will follow the same process until a successful claim is made.
  12. The prize winners must, on request by MDA National Insurance, be able to provide evidence which, to the reasonable satisfaction of MDA National Insurance, demonstrates that the winner is an Eligible Entrant and has complied with these Terms and Conditions.
  13. The prizes must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the prize as stated. The prize is not transferable to another person (unless agreed by MDA National Insurance) or exchangeable for other goods and services and cannot be redeemed as cash.
  14. MDA National and its respective officers and employees will not be liable for any loss, damage, or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect, or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained in connection with this competition, the promotion of this competition or the use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  15. MDA National is not responsible for any late, lost, incorrectly submitted, delayed, ineligible, incomplete or misdirected entry whether due to error or otherwise.
  16. Entry details remain the property of MDA National. The name of the winner may be used for promotional purposes by MDA National unless the winner otherwise notifies MDA National at the time of accepting his/her prize. Eligible Entrants consent to MDA National Insurance using the contact details provided in connection with their MDA National Insurance policy for the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the competition and awarding any prizes.
  17. MDA National collects, uses and discloses personal information of entrants in accordance with its Privacy Policy for the purposes of conducting this competition. Entrants may access, change and/or update their personal information by contacting MDA National on the number below. For further information, please see MDA National’s Privacy Policy.   18. Where this competition is communicated and/or conducted via a social media platform (including, but not limited to, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and/or X (formerly Twitter), entrants acknowledge that use of social media platforms are subject to their terms and conditions of use. The competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered, nor associated with any social media platform.
