Practical solutions to patient boundaries

Decisions about boundaries with patients present themselves in numerous ways every day and all health practitioners are vulnerable to boundary transgressions.

The Practical solutions to patient boundaries workshop explores many aspects of boundaries with patients including:

  • how to respond to patients who push boundaries
  • dual relationships, e.g. treating people with whom you have a personal relationship and self-prescribing
  • preventing sexual and financial exploitation of patients
  • identifying when boundaries may be vulnerable.

This is a full day, small group, highly interactive workshop with pre- and post-workshop exercises and is ideal for doctors at all career stages.

The activity is approved for continuing professional development (CPD) with a number of medical colleges.

This workshop is complimentary for MDA National Members.
