Terms and Conditions

 

  1. Information on how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions of entry. Entry into this competition is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. The competition is being run by the MDA National Insurance Pty Ltd (‘MDA National Insurance’) ABN 56 058 271 417 of Level 3, 88 Colin Street, West Perth WA 6005, Australia, phone 1800 011 255. MDA National Insurance is a wholly owned subsidiary of MDA National Limited ABN 67 055 801 771 (together the ‘MDA National Group’).
  3. Entry is open to first-year medical students studying in Australia who:
  • are MDA National Members; or
  • have applied for Membership with MDA National before the end of the Promotion Period
  • are 18 years of age or over at the time of entering (or if under 18 years of age, written parental/guardian consent has been provided).
  1. The competition commences at 12:00AM (AEST) on Monday 12 January 2026 and ends at 23:59PM (AEST) on Tuesday 31 March 2026.
  2. The prize consists of 1 x MacBook Pro 14 inch with M5 chip, valued at $2,499 AUD.
  3. The prize(s) will be drawn at 10:00AM (AEST) on Tuesday 7 April 2026 at MDA National Sydney Office, Level 6, 207 Pacific Highway, St Leonards NSW 2065.
  4. The result is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner(s) will be contacted by email / phone within 2 days of the draw date to arrange delivery of their prize.
  5. The prize winner(s) must, on request by MDA National Insurance, be able to provide evidence which, to the reasonable satisfaction of MDA National Insurance, demonstrates that the winner is an Eligible Entrant and has complied with these Terms and Conditions.
  6. The winner(s) will be given 30 Days (inclusive) to claim their prize. If in this time the prize is not claimed then a redraw will take place at MDA National Sydney Office, Level 6, 207 Pacific Highway, St Leonards, NSW 2065 at 10:00AM (AEST) on Thursday 7 May 2026, with the winner(s) notified in writing and published on the website.
  7. The prize(s) will be deemed unclaimed if MDA National’s reasonable attempts to contact the winner via email and telephone during normal work hours of Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm (AEST) are unsuccessful. Redraws will follow the same process until a successful claim is made.
  8. The prize(s) must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner(s) is/are unable to use the prize(s) as stated. The prize(s) is/are not transferable to another person (unless agreed by MDA National Insurance) or exchangeable for other goods and services and cannot be redeemed as cash or other than as stated in the voucher.
  9. The MDA National Group and its respective officers and employees will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained in connection with this competition, the promotion of this competition or the use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  10. The MDA National Group is not responsible for any late, lost, incorrectly submitted, delayed, ineligible, incomplete or misdirected entry whether due to error or otherwise.
  11. Eligible Entrants consent to MDA National Insurance using the contact details provided in connection with their MDA National Insurance policy for the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the competition and awarding any prizes.   12. Where the competition is communicated and/or conducted via a social media platform (including, but not limited to, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and/or X (formerly Twitter), entrants acknowledge that use of social media platforms are subject to their terms and conditions of use.
  13. The competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered, or associated with any social media platform.
  14. If for any reason any aspect of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the MDA National Group, MDA National Insurance may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the giveaway and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation.
