New CPD requirements

CPD requirements for medical registration will change from 1 January 2023. To understand what the changes mean to you, see our concise advice. In brief, the new requirements include:
- doctors to join a “CPD Home” by January 2024
- written professional development plans each year
- a minimum of 50 hours CPD per year
- three core categories of CPD:
1. | education activities | 12.5 hours minimum | |
2. | reviewing performance | 5 hours minimum | 25 hours minimum combined |
3. | measuring outcomes | 5 hours minimum |
