What’s Happening?

AMSA Convention Melbourne
The month of July saw Melbourne's metropolitan population rise by over 800 when medical students from all over Australia flocked to the city for the AMSA Convention 2008.

The academic program provided some fantastic workshops and powerful presentations delivered by key speakers, including Jeff Kennett and the topical Euthanasia Debate with Philip Nitsche, Lynn Gilliam and Beth Wilson.

The Conviki Tour took us to some truly exotic locations, from AMSAdam to Victoria's Secret, for the social program and the list of imaginative costumes (or lack there of) was endless.

The MDA National Debating Series proved to be a big success and provided great lunch time entertainment for all delegates.

Well done to everyone involved in the debating and a big congratulations to the winning team at UWA and runners up from Adelaide University.

MDA National would like to thank the efforts of the 2008 AMSA Executive and Convention Committee for all their hard work in making this year's AMSA Convention another truly successful event!!
