MDA National Members Vote to Remove the Call Provision

During the MDA National Annual General Meeting on 12 November 2008, Members were asked to vote on a Special Resolution recommending the deletion of the Rule which provides the Council with the option to make a call upon its Members.
A call provision enables an Association to raise additional funds in exceptional or urgent circumstances. A call could only be made on the subscription amount due to the Association, which is currently $100.
MDA National is the only mainland Australian MDO which has never made a call on its Members and with the removal of this provision it will never make a call on its Members.
Members voted unanimously in favour of the Special Resolution.
