Decisions about boundaries with patients present themselves in numerous ways every day and all health practitioners are vulnerable to boundary transgressions.

The Practical Solutions to Patient Boundaries workshop explores many aspects of boundaries with patients including:

• how to respond to patients who push boundaries
• dual relationships, e.g. treating people with whom you have a personal relationship and self-prescribing
• preventing sexual and financial exploitation of patients
• identifying when boundaries may be vulnerable

Approved for continuing professional development (CPD) with a number of medical colleges, including with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners’ Quality Improvement and Continuing Professional Development Program as a Category 1 active learning module.
