NSW Medical Student Council (MSC) Cocktail Party

I have found in my experience that medical students are a special breed and no one can understand you like your colleagues can. Other university students cannot, for example, carry out a discussion about sexually transmitted infections in a public area and remain oblivious to the general public around them. Sadly medical schools do not usually provide much opportunity to socialise and meet our colleagues from other universities throughout the year. The NSWMSC Cocktail party was an opportunity for us to do so.

The NSWMSC cocktail party was held at the Bank Hotel in Newtown this year. Students from University of New South Wales, University of Western Sydney, University of Sydney, Newcastle University and University of Notre Dame all enjoyed a fun filled night meeting fellow medical students from around the state and sipping on cocktails late into the night. Sadly our colleagues from other NSW Medical Schools could not join us. New friends and Facebook friends were made by all attending and the event was a huge success.

MDA National was one of the sponsors for the event providing lucky door prizes, which sadly, I did not win. A big thanks to MDA National for their ongoing support of NSW medical schools.
