Hawaiian Tuesday - USYD Rural Health Clinical School
Erin Stalenberg, University of Sydney

The University of Sydney School of Rural Health students in Dubbo celebrated the end of their rural term and exam period with 'Hawaiian Tuesday' - A spit roast BBQ and tennis-a-thon. Staff from the Dubbo Base Hospital and School of Rural health and overseas elective students joined the 3rd and 4th year medical students for an afternoon of tennis, spit roasted BBQ lamb and delicious salads, magical Hawaiian punch and fun late into the night. This was an opportunity not only for students to celebrate the end of their term, but also to thank staff for their support and teaching over the previous year and to promote the excellent experience (both academic and social) that students can expect to enjoy during rural teaching terms.

The day was only possible with the support of MDA National and MIRAGE, Sydney Uni's Rural Health Club. Together they created awesome prize packs, with prizes awarded for best costume, best on court, team spirit, tried hardest and most entertaining. It really was the perfect way to celebrate the end to a brilliant year, so thank you MDA National!
