UWA 6th Year Members Cocktail Function
With graduation just around the corner, September was the perfect time to get together with the MDA National members from UWA who are graduating in November. It provided a great opportunity to introduce the students to some of the people that hold a wealth of knowledge not only about MDA National but also about what the graduates will be faced with in their coming years. A fantastic night was had by all and the students were grateful to be able to chat to a range of doctors from all fields.

NSW Medical School Council - Sports Day
In mid September approximately 200 medical students from a cross section of medical schools across NSW, came together for the NSW Medical School Council Inaugural Sports Day. They competed in three competitions; Netball, Touch Football and Soccer. After working up an appetite on the sports field, students and sponsors tucked into a BBQ lunch. Fun and games all round!

Medball Moments
MDA National was pleased to be a sponsor and participate in Wollongong Uni's Inaugural Medball where approximately 200 first years and their partners, dressed to the theme of "A Royal Affair". We were also delighted to attend ANU and UNSW Med balls at Rydges Hotel and Le Montage, Leichhardt, respectively where it was great to see a good time had by everyone.

AMSA Executive: Thank you, congratulations and good luck!
MDA National would like to thank the outgoing 2007 AMSA Executive (Melbourne University) for all their hard work and dedication throughout the year. Your commitment to AMSA and its members is evident. We would also like to congratulate the team from the University of Queensland for winning the 2008 Executive and commend the UWA team for their efforts in the closely contested bid. MDA National remains proud of our long standing association with AMSA and we look forward to working with the 2008 AMSA Executive and Convention Committee into the New Year.
