Dr Lachlan Henderson MBBS, FRACGP, MHSM, GAICD - (Chair)


Dr Lachlan Henderson has a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (UWA) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has a Master of Health Services Management (Monash) qualification and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

He is the Group Director Medical Services and Strategy of St John of God Health Care (SJOGHC). Following his medical studies, Dr Henderson spent 15 years in general practice.

From 2007 – 2009, Dr Henderson was a member of MDA National’s WA State Advisory Committee. He is a Fellow of the Leadership WA program (2006) and in 2005 received a WA Business News’ “40 under 40” award in recognition of his professional achievements.

 

Dr James Anderson MBBS, BMedSc (Hons)


Dr James Anderson is a Resident Medical Officer at Fremantle Hospital. He graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2008 and has research interests in cutaneous neural repair.

Dr Anderson is the President of the Fremantle Hospital RMO Society and sits on several hospital committees. He is interested in pursuing a career in Otolaryngology.

 

 

Dr Michael Gannon MBBS, MRCPI, FRANZCOG


Dr Michael Gannon graduated from the University of Western Australia training at Royal Perth and King Edward Memorial. He completed training with a Urogynaecology Fellowship at St Mary’s in London.

He is specially interested in Medical Problems in Pregnancy and Perinatal Loss holding appointments at St John of God, Mercy and Osborne Park Hospitals.

He is a Past President of AMSA and was a member of MDA National's WA State Advisory Committee. He is a  Councillor of the Australian Medical Association (WA) and Treasurer of the WA Branch of RANZCOG.

 

Dr Christopher Heyes BSc (Hons), MBBS, BA


Dr Christopher Heyes graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2009 with a MBBS/BA and BMedSci (Hons). Having played an active role within the various medical student societies over the course of his studies, he currently sits on the Fremantle Hospital RMO Society and is the intern representative to the hospital.

Concurrent with his internship, Dr Heyes is completing a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine through James Cook University and has a future interest in Academia and Dermatology.

 

 

Dr Dror Maor MBBS


Dr Dror Maor graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2005 and is currently an Orthopaedic Registrar.

Whilst completing his studies he has held numerous positions of leadership within various organisations ranging from being the National President of the Australian Medical Students Association in 2005, a Director and Federal Councilor of the AMA both nationally and on a state level as well as a member of MDA National’s WA State Advisory Committee. He is currently the AMA WA Chair of the Doctors in Training.

 

Associate Professor Moira Sim MBBS, FRACGP, FAChAM, PGDipAlcDrugAbStud


Assoc Prof Moira Sim is a General Practitioner and a Specialist Addiction Medicine Physician who has spent 18 years in clinical practice in the community. She is Liaison GP for Osborne Park Hospital and a member of the Western Australian Safety and Quality in Health Care Committee.

Assoc Prof Sim is Principal for the Systems Intervention Research Centre for Health and Coordinator for Postgraduate Medicine at Edith Cowan University. She has served on boards of governance for general practice organisations at local, state and national levels.
