President's Medical Liaison Council

Established 1 January 2010, the President’s Medical Liaison Council (PMLC) is a national group reporting to the MDA National Council. It meets quarterly and the Members provide input and advice on key medico-legal and other issues affecting the profession in their home states.

The Representatives cover a range of specialties and come from Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. Click on the relevant state to see the profiles of the individual PMLC Members.

Key areas of involvement in MDA National for the PMLC include:

  • Advising of early warning changes in medical practice and/or surgical procedures which will assist in providing service to MDA National Members.
  • Providing operational departments with clinical knowledge to create resources for MDA National Members.
  • Contributing to MDA National workshops, presentations and publications.
  • Participating in national medical conferences.
  • Engaging with colleagues informally.
