MDA National promotes doctors’ health and wellbeing by providing confidential and practical support over and above medical indemnity, when Members need it most.
Medical practitioners will likely receive at least one claim or complaint in their career. We know that medico-legal matters can be a severe source of stress. We also understand that Members are more than medical practitioners and medical students, they’re people with family, friends, interests and everyday pressures outside of work.
Doctors for Doctors Program
Our Doctors for Doctors Program is a confidential peer support service for Members in distress during a medico-legal matter. Doctors who are employed or engaged by MDA National to provide this service are exempt from mandatory reporting obligations so Members can share their concerns openly with a peer who understands the profession and the personal impacts of a medico-legal matter.
Professional Support Service
This service provides Members with complimentary, confidential access to a Psychiatrist who can give professional support to you during the course of a complaint or other investigation.
Please contact our Medico-legal Advisory Services to discuss your needs and how you can access this support.
Live Well, Work Well Activities
MDA National hosts Live Well, Work Well and Live Well, Study Well activities in local communities, medical practices, hospitals and universities to promote health and wellbeing throughout our Membership and the profession. These activities vary from state to state spanning work-life balance education sessions, team fun runs, and events linked to our Corporate Social Responsibility Program.
Contact your state Business Development Specialist about upcoming activities in your area or to arrange an activity in your practice, hospital or university.
